About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Emergency Nurse to join our team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our emergency department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading by example, and contributing to a positive work environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric nursing, excellent clinical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and support junior staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans
  • Lead by example, demonstrating expertise and knowledge in pediatric emergency nursing
  • Mentor and support junior staff members, promoting a positive and supportive work environment
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring excellence in patient care

Requirements:

  • Registered Children's Nurse Intravenous accreditation Prep for Mentorship course or equivalent
  • Degree (BSc) or equivalent in a health-related subject, or working towards
  • Specialist pediatric ED or critical care course ILS/ALS/APLS or Equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years post-registration experience at least 2 years within an Emergency Department
