About The Role
OCS Group is seeking a professional security officer to provide a high level of customer service to clients and visitors at a world-renowned scientific research institute in Cambridgeshire.
The successful candidate will work a full-time schedule of 56 hours per week, rotating through 12-hour shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct internal and external foot patrols to ensure the safety and security of the campus.
- Monitor access control, CCTV, and alarm systems from the control room.
- Ensure adherence to procedures, site instructions, and SOPs at all times.
- Manage site entry, car park barriers, and traffic flow.
- Provide after-hours reception duties.
- Accurately record incidents and events using computer-based software.
Requirements
- SIA Licence (manned guarding or door supervisor) is essential, with CCTV Licence desirable.
- Minimum 3 years of security experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal English are required.
- A smart and professional appearance, good observational skills, and customer service skills are essential.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team is necessary.
