OCS Group is seeking a skilled Security Officer to join our team at a prestigious Scientific Research Institute in Hinxton, Cambridgeshire. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for providing a high level of customer service to campus clients and visitors, while maintaining a safe and secure environment.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and control access to the campus, including high-level control room monitoring of access control, CCTV, and alarm systems.
- Manage site entry, car park barrier control, and traffic management.
- Accurately report incidents and events using computer-based software.
- SIA Licence (manned guarding or door supervisor) is essential, and a CCTV Licence is desirable.
- Previous security experience (minimum 3 years) is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal English are required.
- Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook is necessary.
- Physical capability to undertake foot patrols totaling 15,000 steps per shift is essential.
- Full uniform and PPE are provided.
