About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional candidate to join our team as a Functional Skills Coach/Coordinator. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in supporting and overseeing the progress of our apprentices who are working towards their Functional Skills qualifications in Maths and English with an external provider.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our apprentices' learning is on track to achieve their qualifications in a timely manner. You will also be required to provide tuition in basic skills to all staff within the organization, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent subject knowledge in Maths and English, as well as experience of delivering Functional Skills to adults in the workplace. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will be working with a wide range of stakeholders, including internal staff and external agencies.

We are looking for a proactive and organized individual who can manage their own time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. The role may require some evening working, and you must be able to travel to various locations across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight as necessary.

About You

We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in education and training, preferably with a teaching qualification (e.g., Cert ED, QTS, Qualification in Education and Training Level 4). You will also need to hold Maths and English qualifications at Level 2, although Level 3 is desirable.

As a key member of our team, you will be expected to contribute to the development and implementation of our learning and development strategy, working closely with colleagues to identify training needs and develop solutions.
