Lead Educator and Curriculum Developer

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated professional to take on the role of Lead Educator and Curriculum Developer at The Independent Schools Council.

Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a rigorous and evidence-based curriculum in Philosophy and Religious Studies, ensuring high levels of progress and attainment among our students. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the development of a transformative school community through innovative curriculum design and delivery.
- Managing a team of subject teachers to ensure exceptional student outcomes and progress.
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress and attainment in PRS.
- Embedding best practices for induction and mentoring of ECTs and training teachers within the department.
- Contributing to the development of a comprehensive training program for teaching and learning, focusing on areas of expertise.
- Demonstrating exemplary practice in behavior management and establishing a culture of high expectations within the department.
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in a relevant field, with significant experience in curriculum development and leadership. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
