Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Complex Needs Support Specialist to join our team at Corus Consultancy. This is a temporary role, lasting approximately 2-3 months, with the possibility of extension.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to clients with complex needs, including those affected by VAWG (Violence Against Women and Girls). The role requires strong time management skills, ability to work on own initiative, manage competing priorities and maintain high standards.

About the Role

This is a full-time position, working 5 hours per week, across Monday - Friday, covering early (8AM - 4PM) and late (12:30PM - 8:30PM) shifts. The ideal candidate will have experience working with victims of VAWG, domestic violence and other gender-based violence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete comprehensive needs and risk assessment and risk management plans.
  • Work closely with your clients to move them on within 28 days to suitable longer term accommodation and support clients to access and sustain their accommodation.
  • Respond effectively to risks around VAWG and work within a multi-agency framework to reduce risk, for example, referring to and attending MARAC.
  • Ensure key clients' income is maximised by accessing appropriate benefits, supporting to acquire budgeting skills and set up bank accounts.
  • Support clients that may be ready to move into work, education, or training by assisting them to access suitable courses or placements.
  • Carry out room and building checks and report and follow up all hazards/repairs/maintenance issues in a timely fashion.

Requirements

To apply for this role, you must have:

  1. Experience of working with victims of VAWG, domestic violence and other gender-based violence.
  2. Experience helping people to identify personal goals and supporting them through a process of change.
  3. Knowledge of financial support available to clients to ensure income maximisation, rent payment, and increased financial resilience.
  4. Strong time management skills, ability to work on own initiative, manage competing priorities and maintain high standards.

Salary

The estimated salary for this role is £25,000-£35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
