About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Automation Specialist to join our team at our state-of-the-art automated Customer Fulfilment Centre in Luton. As an Automation Specialist, you will play a critical role in delivering pre-planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring the smooth operation of our mechanical handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Diagnose equipment breakdowns and resolve issues in a timely manner, completing repairs where possible.
  2. Handle the Computerised Maintenance Management System, maintaining accurate data records to meet Engineering KPIs.
  3. Support the Engineering team in analysing engineering failures and finding solutions to improve Mechanical Handling Equipment performance.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Engineering qualification, along with hands-on experience.
  • A good technical understanding of automation hardware and software, including PLCs, SCADA, and conveyor systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and share knowledge with peers.
