Job Description:
Sikkerrejse seeks a Health Promotion Specialist to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a GCSE level of education or equivalent, with a minimum grade 'C' in both English and Maths. Experience working in a community setting, particularly in schools, and/or with children & young people is essential. Key responsibilities include assisting nurses in schools or offices, planning, delivering, and evaluating health promotion/education and public health school-age immunisation programs. The specialist will also promote and facilitate collaborative working between team, schools, and other educational institutions and families in the delivery of the immunisation programme. They will ensure the necessary requirements for storing and transporting immunisations, and the procedures for collecting and delivering vaccinations to the site. Additionally, they will identify home-schooled children and those in Pupil Referral Units, maintain databases to ensure records are kept up-to-date, and prepare documents for school visits. They will adhere to the Standard Operating Procedure for School Immunisation (SOPs) and provide first point of contact for all administrative tasks. The role offers a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits including 5% employer contribution to pension scheme, supermarket and High Street discounts, Employee Assistant Programme, Employee referral scheme, and 25 days annual leave.
