Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Homelessness Support Coordinator to join our team at Sanctuary Group.

Key Duties:

  • Coordinate support services for individuals who have experienced homelessness, focusing on empowerment and independence.
  • Develop and maintain support plans, ensuring they align with individual customer needs.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, providing guidance and direction.
  • Establish positive relationships with customers, upholding their autonomy and dignity.
  • Liaise with external agencies to enhance customer outcomes, offering training and encouragement towards employment and education.
  • Respond to emergencies, maintaining a professional and composed demeanor.
  • Maintain accurate records, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with adults who have faced homelessness.
  • A strong 'can-do' attitude, coupled with enthusiasm and flexibility.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, while also functioning independently.
  • Strong organisational skills, alongside functional literacy and numeracy.
  • The capacity to adapt quickly to changing priorities, meeting deadlines and targets.
  • NVQ3 in Health and Social Care or a willingness to work towards it is essential.
