Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Healthcare Support Worker to join our team. This role involves working as part of our nursing team, providing personal nursing care and clinical interventions to patients in the inpatient hospital care setting. The successful candidate will contribute to the assessment of care needs and the delivery of planned care under delegation and direction of the Registered Nurse.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient-centred care in accordance with patient needs and Trust policies.
  • Establish and maintain good interpersonal skills, including effective communication and empathy.
  • Undertake training in clinical interventions and remain competent to practice these interventions.
  • Assess a person's clinical condition using tools such as NEWS2 parameters and pain assessment tools.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to plan workload and prioritise patient needs.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification/experience.
  • Care Certificate.
  • English & Mathematics at GCSE grade A-C (9-4) or level 2 functional skills.

Salary

The estimated salary for this role is £28,000 - £33,000 per annum, depending on experience.
