Job Title: Communications Specialist Teaching Assistant
About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support children with communication difficulties, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) in our specialist school.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with SEND and be proficient in Makaton and/or PECS.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about providing personalized care and support to children with varying challenges.
Main Responsibilities- Support early learning, communication, and social development of children in an Early Years Foundation Stage class.
- Collaborate with other assistants and teachers to deliver high-quality education and care.
- Provide personal care and support to children as needed.
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant or LSA with SEND experience and Makaton or PECS skills.
- A warm and caring individual who prioritizes the needs of children.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A competitive salary range of £40,000 - £50,000 per annum.
