Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure complete, accurate, and timely corporate reporting, including Talbot consolidation & Group reporting to AIG, corporate entity reporting, UK and overseas statutory reporting, and regulatory reporting to Lloyds and other regulators
  • Produce committee and board packs, providing critical insights to inform business decisions
  • Develop and implement efficient accounting processes and controls, driving operational excellence
  • Manage intercompany reconciliations for service level agreements, ensuring seamless internal transactions
  • Support interim and year-end SOX requirements, maintaining the highest standards of financial reporting
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure complete, accurate, and timely broker financial reviews
  • Document key processes and controls, fostering a culture of transparency and accountability
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in new financial reporting standards and produce associated accounting judgment papers
  • Support complete, accurate, and timely tax submissions, including corporate tax returns for UK and overseas, Lloyds-related submissions, Singapore GST, tax certificates, and SAO documentation
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects, driving business growth and improvement


What We're Looking For

  • Qualified accountant with minimum 3 years PQE, with a strong background in financial reporting and analysis
  • Experience working in a similar role within the insurance industry, with a deep understanding of UK GAAP and US GAAP
  • Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and drive business insights
  • Good knowledge of general ledger systems, including SAP and Sun
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Tax knowledge desirable, but not essential
