Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Polaris Community. As a key member of our Residential Team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people aged 8-18 with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.

Main Responsibilities

  • To work in a residential setting, providing a safe, secure, and homely environment for the children and young adults in the home.
  • To support the children in achieving their personal goals and aspirations, while promoting their social, emotional, and educational development.
  • To build and maintain positive relationships with the children, their families, and other professionals involved in their care.
  • To contribute to the development of care plans and support the implementation of these plans in conjunction with the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager.
  • To maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring that all relevant information is up-to-date and shared with the relevant parties.

Requirements

  • Hold a Diploma Level 3 in Working with Children & Young People.
  • Be over 21 years of age and hold a full UK driving license.
  • Have a strong understanding of the principles of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young adults.
  • Be able to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleepovers.
