Job Summary

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a skilled Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our financial operations, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring timely and efficient processing of purchase orders and invoices, and providing exceptional customer service to our suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including supplier data, purchase orders, and invoices.
  • Process purchase orders and invoices in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our suppliers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Manage staff expense claims, ensuring accurate and timely processing, and maintaining confidentiality as required.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and request copy invoices as necessary, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Process credit card statements and maintain accurate records of transactions.
  • Count and reconcile charity cash and ensure accurate and timely payment to charities.

Requirements

  • Purchase Ledger experience and knowledge of financial operations.
  • Intermediate Excel skills and ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with ability to respond to inquiries and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
