Maternity Service Consultant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist to join our team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. Our maternity service is committed to providing high-quality care to women and families, and we are looking for a professional who shares our passion for delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consultant labour suite cover and elective caesarean lists
  • Conduct ward rounds, maternity triage, and assessment unit cover
  • Lead antenatal clinics and provide specialist care for women with complex needs
  • Participate in a two-tier gynaecology on-call consultant rota, covering emergency gynaecology and complex surgery
Requirements
  • Clinical training and experience in general obstetrics and gynaecology equivalent to that required for a UK CCST
  • Specific training in communication skills (desirable)
  • Evidence of completion of an audit cycle or quality improvement project
  • Ability to travel between City Hospital, QMC, and community campuses
  • Willingness to work an on-call rota and live or stay within 30 minutes of the hospital
