NHS Fixed Term Locum Consultant Obstetrician Vacancy

We are seeking an experienced NHS Fixed Term Locum Consultant to join our team at one of the largest University Teaching Hospitals in the NHS. This role will involve providing consultant labour suite cover, elective caesarean lists, ward rounds, assessment unit cover, and antenatal clinics.

Our Team

We have a team of 44 Consultants contributing to our obstetrics and gynaecology service, including 18 obstetric consultants, 18 gynaecologists, and 8 combined obstetrician and gynaecologists.

Our Facilities

Our labour suite is associated with a level 3 Neonatal Unit, a dedicated obstetric anaesthetic service, and inpatient and outpatient obstetric services. We also have a fetal medicine centre that accepts regional referrals, and a dedicated maternity medicine service.

Training and Development

Additional Information
  • Obstetric ultrasound provided onsite by the radiology team
  • Consultants lead specialist scan clinics including fetal growth surveillance and preterm birth
  • Gynaecology service includes: Urogynaecology, reproductive medicine, benign and emergency gynaecology, gynae oncology
  • Excellent support and teaching network
