About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist to join our team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in reproductive medicine and a proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care.

The role will involve providing consultant labour suite cover, elective caesarean lists, ward rounds, maternity triage, assessment unit cover, and antenatal clinics. The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in the two-tier gynaecology on-call consultant rota, providing emergency gynaecology cover at the QMC campus and complex surgery support at City Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including routine and emergency obstetrics and gynaecology
  • Participate in the two-tier gynaecology on-call consultant rota
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and guidelines
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff
  • Participate in teaching and research activities
Requirements
  • CCST in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
  • Experience in reproductive medicine
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability
