We are seeking an experienced Arts and Heritage Grants Manager to join our team at Theartgorgeous. As a key member of our Development Department, you will be responsible for securing funding from trusts and foundations to support our arts and heritage initiatives.

About the Role
  • The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of soliciting donations from trusts and foundations, as well as statutory funders.
  • You will work closely with our Senior Fundraising Manager to develop and implement a strategy for grants fundraising, ensuring that we raise our income targets and meet our departmental plan and 10-year plan objectives.
  • Your duties will include researching and developing high-quality applications for funding, liaising with colleagues across the organization, and maintaining accurate records of grant makers and grant fundraising activity on our CRM database.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing a strategy for grants fundraising, working in close collaboration with the Senior Fundraising Manager.
  • Researching and preparing high-quality funding applications, including drafting compelling cases for support and communicating effectively through face-to-face meetings and written proposals.
  • Maintaining ongoing contact with current trust and foundation supporters, stewarding individuals within family foundations who have indicated they will consider a legacy gift.
  • Working with colleagues to ensure projects are monitored and evaluated, ensuring grant terms and requirements are met, and high-quality reports are submitted according to reporting schedules.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as arts administration, fundraising, or marketing.
  • Proven track record of soliciting donations from trusts and foundations, as well as statutory funders.
  • High level of proficiency working with standard business software, including MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience of working within an arts/heritage environment and knowledge of CRM databases such as Tessitura.
