English Heritage is committed to promoting the past in an inclusive and diverse way. As a Volunteer Manager, you will play a key role in designing and implementing new volunteering opportunities that reflect current sector trends, local community needs, and site requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and deliver the recruitment, training, support, retention, and recognition of volunteers engaged in all areas of English Heritage's work.
  • Work with key members of the site team and HR & Volunteering team to develop and implement effective volunteer management strategies.

The successful candidate will have experience of working with the local community, a coaching style that develops individuals and teams for high performance, and a commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.

  • A competitive salary of £29,343 per annum, depending on skills, experience, and location.
