About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dietetic Lifestyle Support Worker to join our Community Dietetic Team. As a key member of our team, you will provide brief intervention support to patients within GP settings, using Motivational Interviewing (MI) skills to support positive lifestyle change and signpost relevant local services to reduce the risk of diabetes development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide dietetic support and administrative assistance to the Community Dietetic Team
  • Carry out organisational or administrative tasks as designated by the registered dietitian or administrative lead, including audit and stock checks of resources and products
  • Review dietetic care plans for designated patients, supporting them to optimise their nutritional intake
  • Plan and organise straightforward activities, including group education and teaching

Requirements

  • English or maths GCSE or equivalent
  • Experience working as part of a team, in a Community focused/NHS/Healthcare setting
  • Experience of using Microsoft Windows, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook packages

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • ECDL or equivalent IT qualification
  • Nutrition qualification
  • Experience of group education or teaching
