Distribution Manager

Menzies Distribution is seeking an experienced Distribution Manager to lead our operations in Newbridge, just outside Edinburgh. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for directing daily, weekly, and monthly activities to maximize performance and exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise the depot operation, ensuring compliance with recognized contract KPIs.
  • Develop and lead the operational team, providing training and development opportunities.
  • Liaise with internal and external customers to establish effective working relationships.
  • Monitor and analyze operational and financial performance data to identify service efficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate site housekeeping and maintenance to ensure Health and Safety requirements are met.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Drivers Hours, Tachograph, and WTD legislation.
  • Experience in transport management, including budget management and project management.
  • Ability to plan and organize effectively to meet deadlines.
  • High level of accuracy and numeracy, with a keen eye for detail.
