Menzies Distribution is seeking an experienced Distribution Manager to join our team in Newbridge, just outside Edinburgh. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for directing the daily, weekly, and monthly activities of our depot operation, ensuring the performance of the operation exceeds customer expectations in line with recognised contract KPIs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise the depot operation, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Liaise with internal and external customers to ensure effective working relationships and meet customer requirements.
  • Manage and develop the operational team, providing training and development opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor and analyze operational and financial performance data to identify service efficiencies and improvement opportunities.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
