Warehouse Operations Manager

Job Summary
Menzies Distribution Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our parcels team in Newbridge. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our warehouse, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of parcel sortation staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet productivity targets and adhere to company policies.
- Operational Management: Set up and run parcel sortation teams on shift, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard and that all associated KPIs are met.
- Performance Management: Coach, mentor, and monitor team performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Administrative Duties: Manage holiday rotas, conduct performance reviews, and handle return-to-work meetings.
- Health and Safety: Implement and maintain a safe working environment, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Security: Ensure the secure passage of goods, implementing and maintaining security policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Transport Legislation: Have a good understanding of transport legislation and logistics operations.
- Logistics Experience: Possess experience working in a transport/logistics environment, with the ability to react quickly to information and solve challenges.
- Transport Management Systems: Familiarity with in-house transport management systems is an advantage.
