Job Title: Insurance Credit Controller

About the Role:

Superscript is seeking a skilled Insurance Credit Controller to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing the credit control processes within our insurance broking environment.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of insurance broking accounts and the ability to maintain effective relationships with clients, insurers, and internal stakeholders.

  • Proactively contact clients in line with company policies and procedures
  • Ensure records are kept up to date and maintained
  • Build and develop relationships with key stakeholders on current debt levels
  • Process client return premiums
  • Prepare and provide regular MI for senior management to review
  • Assist in the implementation of processes and procedures
  • Timely identification of business risks
  • Escalation of unpaid invoices in line with company policies and procedures

About You:

  • Previous experience in credit control, preferably in insurance but not essential
  • Attention to detail particularly to reconciliations
  • Experience using excel, particularly with VLOOKUP/Pivot Tables
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Technical knowledge particularly with banking and accounting systems
  • Strong problem solving skills particularly with complex clients
  • Superb interpersonal and customer service skills to provide exceptional results
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
