Credit Control Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Credit Control Assistant to join our Finance team at Whitehall Resources. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring debt recovery and process efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage credit control across multiple entities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Monitor and reconcile bank statements, producing daily cash reports and allocating receipts into the finance package.
- Collaborate with the Accounts Assistant to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate financial records.
- Conduct regular checks on funded and non-funded clients, identifying potential issues and escalating to the Credit Control Manager as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with clients, resolving invoice issues and ensuring timely payment.
- Produce weekly debtor reports, highlighting overdue payments and providing updates on client movements.
- Run unallocated cash reports to match invoices and credits, maintaining a tidy ledger.
- Complete new client checklists, ensuring all necessary details are received and added to the system.
- Update client information in the finance package, ensuring accurate credit limits and contact details.
- Monitor CreditSafe, identifying high-risk clients and bringing them to the attention of the Credit Control Manager.
- Raise and send invoices daily, importing them into the finance package.
- Manage the invoicing and credit control inbox, responding to queries in a timely manner.
- Previous experience in a credit control role, with knowledge of credit control processes and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in finance software and systems, with the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
