Credit Control Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Credit Control Assistant to join our Finance team at Whitehall Resources. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring debt recovery and process efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage credit control across multiple entities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of receipts and invoices.
- Accurately allocate receipts into the finance package, liaising with the Accounts Assistant as needed for bank reconciliations.
- Monitor and manage client relationships, ensuring prompt communication and resolution of any issues.
- Produce regular debtor reports, highlighting overdue payments and updates on client movements.
- Run unallocated cash reports to match invoices and credits, maintaining a tidy ledger.
- Complete new client checklists to ensure all necessary details are received and added to the system.
- Maintain up-to-date client information in the finance package, ensuring no missing credit limits or contact details.
- Check CreditSafe weekly to identify high-risk clients and bring them to the attention of the Credit Control Manager.
- Raise and send invoices to clients daily, importing them into the finance package.
- Manage the invoicing and credit control inbox, responding to queries in a timely manner.
- Liaise with clients professionally to resolve invoice issues and ensure timely payment.
- Previous experience in a credit control role, with knowledge of credit control processes and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in finance software and systems, with the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
