Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Financial Operations Specialist to join our team at The Search Core Ltd. This is a 'hands-on', broad permanent role based in the heart of London.

This role sits within the Operations team whose primary focus is to ensure operational efficiencies. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations including the accurate maintenance of financial records across the organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Posting and payment of supplier invoices in a timely manner, ensuring accurate coding and authorisation.
  • Maintenance of supplier accounts, reconciliations and remittances.
  • Processing of sales invoices ensuring they are accurately recorded for the varied income streams.
  • Posting of all bank statement items, receipts and payments, while completing bank reconciliations for all the varied accounts.
  • Support with credit control, including the management of aged debtors, chasing overdue debts.
  • Completion of all month end procedures within agreed timescales.
  • Reconciliation and preparation of quarterly VAT returns for review by the Head of Finance.
  • Assistance with monitoring cash flows.
  • Reconciliation and maintenance of petty cash.
  • Review and improvement of procedures to maintain high standards.

The successful candidate will be an experienced Financial Operations Specialist with a good understanding of double-entry bookkeeping. They must possess excellent financial processing transaction, review and reporting experience, as well as strong MS Excel skills including pivot tables and vlookup's.
