We are currently seeking a Legacy Site Manager to join our Eastern Counties Division's Construction team in a exciting opportunity to shape the future of our developments.

The Role Overview

This key role involves managing all aspects of a construction development site, ensuring the provision of safe, efficient, and cost-effective works while maintaining the highest quality of work and customer service within given timescales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the development, providing clear direction to site staff regarding their responsibilities and targets.
  • Implement and manage health and safety procedures, collaborating closely with Bellway Health and Safety Managers to ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Motivate, support, and directly manage site staff, offering toolbox talks, training, coaching, and support as required to enhance performance.
  • Maintain site presentation at the desired standard at all times.
  • Ensure timely delivery of production requirements, adhering strictly to relevant technical and planning documentation and any subsequent instructions.
  • Fully comply with building regulations and warranty providers' requirements (NHBC, LABC Services).
  • Regularly update and submit accurate production/progress returns to the Construction Manager and/or Director as requested.
  • Ensure comprehensive site records are maintained, including Site Managers reports, labour requirements, plant, materials, site inductions, and health and safety records.

Experience, Qualifications, and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Previous experience working as an Assistant Site Manager or Site Manager with a high-volume residential house builder.
  • Proven track record of effectively managing teams.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety and building legislation.

Location and Working Conditions

This role requires flexibility in terms of day-to-day duties and working hours. You will also be required to travel to development sites and the divisional office, often working outside in various weather conditions.
