Hybrid Assistant Manager Role - Accountancy Practice

Bennett & Game Recruitment LTD is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their team as an Assistant Manager. The role offers an exciting opportunity to help manage a substantial portfolio of client accounts and contribute to the firm's growth.

As an Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the Manager and other colleagues to provide high-quality service to clients and develop new business opportunities. You will also assist in the management of a team, comprising Manager, semi-seniors, and junior colleagues.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of successfully dealing with clients directly and managing less senior colleagues in a practice environment. They will also possess excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as confidence, flexibility, and enthusiasm.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Help manage a substantial portfolio of client accounts;
  2. Work with your team Manager and other colleagues in furthering the goals and ambitions of the firm;
  3. Assist in the management of an existing team;
  4. Update and maintain accurate records on the internal management system;
  5. Make suggestions on how to improve the firm's workflow processes and procedures;
  6. Other duties as may reasonably be requested from time to time.

Requirements:

  1. Preferably a fully qualified member of CIMA, ACCA, or the ICAEW, with PQE;
  2. Applications from part-qualified individuals with extensive work experience will also be considered;
  3. Senior accountants and highly experienced semi-senior accountants will be considered;
  4. Must have demonstrable experience of successfully dealing with clients directly;
  5. Must have experience of managing less senior colleagues in a practice environment;
  6. This position requires confidence, flexibility, and enthusiasm;
  7. Must be a clear communicator, possessing excellent written and oral communication skills;
  8. Presentable, courteous, and polite.
