Dietitian Specialist for Learning Disabilities

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Dietitian to join our Community Learning Disabilities Team. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with a diverse range of professionals, including Dietitians, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Nurses, to improve the health and well-being of service users with Learning Disabilities across Leeds.
Main Responsibilities
You will manage your own caseload, working with service users with a range of dietetic needs, including weight management, diabetes, nutrition support, and enteral feeding. You will also have the opportunity to deliver training and education sessions for service users, carers, families, and other healthcare professionals.
Communication and Relationship Skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role, as you will work closely with a range of stakeholders, including service users, carers, and healthcare professionals.
- You will also be responsible for disseminating information, taking into account the ethical, professional, and legal aspects.

Person Specification
Essential Qualifications
- Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Dietetic Association (BDA)
Essential Experience
- Extensive post-registration experience in a dietetic role
- Experience of caseload management and working with service users with a range of dietetic needs
