Job Title: Specialist Learning Disability Dietitian

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Dietitian to join our Community Learning Disabilities Team. As a Specialist Learning Disability Dietitian, you will play a key role in improving the health and well-being of service users with Learning Disabilities across Leeds.

About the Role

As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with Dietitians, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Nurses, Psychologists, and Medics to provide holistic care to our service users. You will manage your own caseload, including service users with a range of dietetic needs, and work closely with health and social care partners to deliver training and education sessions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage your own caseload, including service users with a range of dietetic needs.
  • Work closely with health and social care partners to deliver training and education sessions.
  • Participate in training and education within the direct care team and other members of the Learning Disability service.
  • Participate in managerial supervision and performance review with line manager.
  • Act as a peer supervisor in contracted clinical supervision.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in nutrition and dietetics and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and British Dietetic Association (BDA).
  • Extensive post-registration experience, including caseload management.
  • A strong interest in working with people with Learning Disabilities.
  • Evidence of a range of knowledge and skills in dietetics.
