Job Description

Leidos is seeking a Director of Complex Systems to join our team in the UK. The successful candidate will have significant experience in systems engineering and will be responsible for leading our systems engineering efforts.

About the Role

The Director of Complex Systems will oversee and guide the engineering approach to design and integration of complex systems across the organisation. They will ensure that our engineering programmes employ engineering best practice, ensuring they are designed and implemented to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and assure the design, integration, and optimization of complex systems, ensuring all components function together seamlessly and meet performance, security, and reliability requirements.
  • Define and maintain standardised methodologies for defining system architectures that meet both technical and business needs, balancing performance, cost, and scalability.
  • Foster collaboration across the wider Leidos business to share and assimilate systems engineering best practice.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in systems engineering or related technical leadership roles, including substantial experience in the integration and development of complex systems.
  • Experience leading engineering teams and managing multidisciplinary projects.
  • Deep knowledge of industry standards, tools, and methodologies used in systems engineering.
