Job SummaryWe are seeking a motivated and experienced Urban Planner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for obtaining planning permissions for various projects, from unique developments to large-scale schemes, as part of local regeneration efforts.
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong research skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities- Take responsibility for the planning process, from site inspection to planning permissions, reporting to the director.
- Create and manage planning applications, conditions, and appeal documents.
- Conduct research on previous planning applications, as necessary.
- Accurate record keeping for internal systems and local authority planning policies.
- Represent the business at planning and consultation meetings.
- Stay up-to-date with local planning policies and strategies.
- Obtain quotes from consultants and external engineers.
- Liaise with the wider planning team.
- 2+ years of relevant industry experience, ideally within the local region.
- Experience addressing the public and council officers in a public forum.
- Knowledge and experience in planning processes and regulations.
- Planning or Surveying Degree or above, or equivalent.
- MRTPI, MRICS, or RIBA is desirable.
- Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 DOE + mileage.
- Up to 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
- Christmas shutdown.
- Office hours: 9am - 5pm.
- On-site parking.
- Group healthcare scheme.
