The Planning team is expanding, welcoming applicants from diverse backgrounds, including housebuilding, local authorities, or consultancies. This role involves securing planning permissions for various projects, contributing to local regeneration efforts, and offering project opportunities.
Job DescriptionWe seek a skilled Town Planner to join our Planning team. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the planning process across all stages, from site inspection to receiving planning permissions, reporting to the Director of the department
- Preparing and managing planning applications, conditions, and appeal documents for local authority submissions
- Conducting research on previous planning applications for sites as necessary
- Accurate record-keeping for internal systems and local authority planning policies and plan reviews
- Representing the business at planning and consultation meetings
- Staying up-to-date with local planning policies and strategies across transport, green infrastructure, renewable energy, local economy, jobs, climate change, and more
- Obtaining and negotiating quotes from consultants and external engineers
- Liaising with the wider planning team on relevant issues
