Job Title: Transport Planner

Reporting to the Head of Transport, the Transport Planner will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient assembly of loads and deliveries, as well as resource allocation for transport requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimize the utilization of the Culina network's fleet.
  • Plan loads centrally for all Culina Chill sites, including Group intervention.
  • Assemble over 400 multi-drop/consolidated loads within a 24-hour period.
  • Plan approximately 200 collections to clients' agreed KPIs.
  • Resource the correct transport requirements for each site, minimizing sub-contracting.
  • Exceed agreed KPIs.
  • Liaise daily with personnel across different levels (Shift Managers, Transport Coordinators, Customer Service & Client Support Colleagues).
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Address day-to-day operational issues.
  • Handle client requests.

Requirements:

  • Previous transport planning experience.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication skills to deliver accurate information.
  • Prioritize workload to meet set deadlines.
  • Able to work individually or as part of a team.
  • CPC desirable but not essential.
  • Proactive decision-making.
