About the Role

Oxfam GB is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Shop Manager to join our team. As a key member of our retail operations, you will be responsible for supporting the Shop Manager in the day-to-day running of the shop, including managing staff, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Shop Manager in the overall management of the shop, including staff supervision, stock control, and customer service.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of retail strategies to drive sales and improve customer engagement.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records, including sales data, stock levels, and staff performance.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer queries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Work collaboratively with the Shop Manager and other colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a retail management role, with a strong understanding of retail operations and customer service principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Knowledge of retail systems and software, including point-of-sale systems and stock management software.
