Job Title: Risk Assessment Specialist

Salary Range: £56,000 - £71,000 per annum

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Assessment Specialist to join our manufacturing team in Stirlingshire, Scotland.

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough risk assessments, developing and implementing effective health, safety, and environmental policies and programs that ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

You will lead safety training initiatives, promote a culture of responsibility and safety throughout the organisation, and investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify hazards, implementing corrective and preventative measures as needed.
  2. Develop and update HSE policies and procedures to ensure effectiveness and regulatory compliance.
  3. Design and deliver training programs to educate employees on HSE best practices, fostering a strong safety culture.
  4. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, documenting findings, and implementing improvements. Ensure proper reporting to regulatory bodies.
  5. Lead initiatives to reduce the company's environmental footprint and ensure compliance with environmental regulations, particularly in waste management.
  6. Work closely with management, employees, and external agencies to promote HSE initiatives and serve as the primary contact for HSE-related inquiries.
  7. Prepare regular reports on HSE performance, analyse trends, and develop strategies for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience in HSE management.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, ISO 14001).
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
