Job Title: CAMHS Mental Health Practitioner

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced CAMHS Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work closely with the Youth Offending Service to provide mental health services to children and young people in contact with the youth justice system.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide assessment, early intervention, and referral to a range of primary and secondary health care services for young people in contact with the youth justice system.
  • Develop and support systems to ensure that mental health needs are taken into consideration and addressed effectively.
  • Work in partnership with other agencies to provide a comprehensive health service to young people in contact with the youth justice system.
Requirements:
  • Qualification and professional registration in Nursing, Clinical Psychology, or other equivalent profession.
  • Post-qualifying experience of working within a multidisciplinary CAMHS team.
  • Previous experience of delivering evidence-based treatment to children and young people.
  • Ability to work with complex and vulnerable families and manage associated anxieties and concerns.
Desirable:
  • Post-qualification training in teaching and supervision.
  • Recent safeguarding children training.
  • CYP-IAPT training.
