About the Role

University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking an experienced administrative professional to join our Maternity Services team as a Maternity Administrative Support Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing comprehensive administrative support to the Maternity Business Administration Manager and the Midwifery Leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide efficient and comprehensive administrative support, including diary management, meeting coordination, and document preparation.
  • Support the Maternity Business Administration Manager with workforce sickness management, appraisal recording, and recruitment processes.
  • Assist with arrangements for meetings, training, and service visits, including venue organization and hospitality.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 4 in business administration or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced keyboard skills and proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience working in a demanding environment, with senior leaders, and in a team-based setting.
