Job Description: Emotional Nurturing Specialist

We are seeking an Emotional Nurturing Specialist to join our dedicated team at our SEMH School in Gainsborough. As an Emotional Nurturing Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting students who require emotional nurture and develop their academic and personal potential.

About the Role:
  • You will lead activities that promote students' physical, emotional, and educational development in a safe and structured environment.
  • Build positive relationships with students, establishing trust and setting high expectations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver targeted SEMH interventions, promoting self-esteem and personal achievement.
  • Set targets for students with identified SEMH needs and participate in meetings to discuss student progress.
  • Employ a range of observation, assessment, and monitoring strategies to support SEMH students effectively.
Requirements:
  • A compassionate individual with a genuine interest in supporting students with SEMH needs.
  • Experience in or understanding of delivering educational support to young people with additional needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of students and the department.
  • A commitment to the academy's ethos of inclusion, respect, and high achievement.

The estimated salary for this position is £26,000 - £36,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a full-time appointment with the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.
