Health and Safety Administrator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Health, Safety and Biosafety Administrator to join our team at The Pirbright Institute. As a key member of our Risk & Assurance directorate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our staff, students, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate and manage the Institute's safety and environmental duties, including biosafety and risk management.
- Provide administrative support to the HSBS team, including organizing meetings, taking minutes, and distributing papers and resources.
- Monitor and maintain the Institute's document management system, ensuring that documents are up-to-date and accessible to relevant staff.
- Act as 'Curator' for training modules, ensuring that courses are assigned to trainees and periodically reviewed by trainers.
- Maintain the HSBS Asset bank and arrange for the routine calibration of equipment to maintain compliance.
- Assist with the collection of data for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Safety Performance Indicators (SPIs).
- Experience of working in a health, safety, and/or biosafety function.
- Experience of managing an asset bank and coordinating the booking and arrangements for training from external providers.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, especially Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
