Health, Safety and Biosafety Administrator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Health, Safety and Biosafety Administrator to join our team at The Pirbright Institute. As a key member of our Risk & Assurance directorate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our staff, students, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage the Institute's safety and environmental duties, including biosafety and health and safety.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings, take minutes, and distribute papers and resources as necessary.
  • Monitor and respond to queries and emails, and triage to the correct team members.
  • Coordinate training and development programs, including booking and arrangements with external providers.
  • Manage and maintain the Institute's document management system, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Act as 'Curator' for training modules, assigning and reviewing courses as necessary.
  • Maintain the HSBS Asset bank and arrange for equipment calibration and maintenance.
  • Assist with data collection and analysis for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Safety Performance Indicators (SPIs).
Requirements:
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office software, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience in a health, safety, and/or biosafety function.
  • Experience managing an asset bank and coordinating training programs.
