Job Type: Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)

We are looking for a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our team in a Primary built school in Farnborough. The successful candidate will support children aged 4-11 with mild to severe learning difficulties and provide consistency and equipping children and young people with tools to ensure they feel safe, secure, empowered, and believe that they can succeed in life.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the class teacher in delivering the learning experience of students
  • Deliver behaviour and pastoral support
  • Foster robust and effective relationships with students
  • Develop a practical approach to meet the individual needs of students
  • Promote excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Show empathy, compassion, and act as a good listener
  • Engage in 1:1 and small group work with students
  • Evaluate student safety and well-being
  • Attend staff meetings and engage in relevant CPD

The ideal candidate must have the right to work in the UK and will need to apply for an Enhanced DBS check. We offer excellent on-site training, support, and CPD to ensure the safeguarding of all students.
