About this Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with experience of teaching ESOL to join our team as a Part-time Adult Learning Tutor.

The ideal candidate will have experience of teaching both accredited and non-accredited provision up to, and including, level 2 qualifications (including ESOL Skills for Life).

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Ability to adapt and respond positively to emerging learner and local needs
  • Ability to work a variety of hours across the working week, including evenings
  • Driving licence and access to a vehicle (an advantage)

We have a strong commitment to providing progression opportunities to our learners, and our Tutor Team plays a key role in positively promoting our service to individuals and communities across Carlisle through robust information, advice, and guidance.

Our service is committed to ensuring the best outcomes for all ESOL learners and works in partnership with the Refugee Resettlement Team to provide excellent teaching and learning opportunities to resettled learners arriving in Cumbria.

We pride ourselves on our commitment to local people and to providing opportunities to support people into employment while increasing skills and confidence.

As a service, we are working towards achieving an Outstanding Ofsted judgement, and we are looking for an excellent practitioner who can contribute positively to this goal.

This role requires a basic DBS check.
