We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join our team based in a picturesque village near Towcester. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in managing our company's cash flow and ensuring timely payments from our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Bank Statement Management: Prepare, log, allocate, and deal with queries related to bank statements.
  • New Accounts: Record, request credit reports, and send acceptance letters for new accounts.
  • National Accounts: Allocate, process POD requests, and handle queries related to national accounts.
  • Card Payment Requests: Support daily card payment requests from customers and depots.
  • Liaison and Communication: Liaise with depots and credit control to resolve account issues and take necessary actions.
  • Account Referrals: Refer accounts of concern to the Group Credit Manager for further review.
  • System Updates: Update the AS400 system to ensure customer accounts are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Depot Review Lists: Support the department in preparing depot review lists for the credit agency and checking online credit limits.
  • Managing Paying-in Books: Manage and order depot and customer paying-in books.
  • Banking and Invoicing: Prepare and bank cheques received at head office and send copy invoices via email or post.
  • Customer Account Setup: Set up customer accounts for emailed invoices with the IT department.
  • Storage and Insurance Letters: Send storage and insurance letters to depots.
  • General Administration: Perform other general administration tasks as required, including supporting the department during busy and holiday periods.
