Job Title: Deputy Head of Operations

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our team as Deputy Head of Operations at Oxford Brookes University.

About the Role

The Deputy Head of Operations will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the Faculty's technical and administrative functions, working closely with the Head of Operations to ensure the smooth operation of the Faculty.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative leadership and management to the Faculty's support staff
  • Develop and implement effective operational strategies to support the Faculty's academic mission
  • Manage and maintain the Faculty's estate and physical resources, including health and safety aspects
  • Build and maintain successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead and manage the Faculty's support staff to deliver efficient and cost-effective services
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Significant experience of administrative leadership and management
  • A wide-ranging understanding of the Higher Education environment, including health and safety aspects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and innovatively in a complex and changing environment
