Promoting Independence in Learning

We are seeking an experienced teaching assistant to join our team at Academics and support students with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD).

About the Position:

  • Deliver high-quality support services to students with PMLD.
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of students with PMLD, promoting their independence and full potential.
  • Foster a nurturing environment that encourages student growth and progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop tailored educational plans for each student.

Salary Range: £27,000 - £37,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with PMLD or similar learning disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work as part of a team and adapt to changing circumstances.
