About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team at the Structural Engineering Alliance Group. As a critical member of our team, you will be working on high-value projects, utilizing the latest design software, and collaborating with key clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Use the latest design software to create and manage structural designs, ensuring projects are appropriately resourced and delegated to team members.
  • Client Liaison: Liaise with key clients to discuss design and technical solutions, and provide support and guidance to junior staff.
  • Team Leadership: Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, and provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Design and Development: Prepare calculations, drawings, details, specifications, and reports for a wide range of structures and materials.
  • Company Policies: Implement and ensure adherence to company policies across your team.
  • Project Budgeting: Monitor and oversee project budgets and staff resources for projects undertaken.
  • Business Development: Develop existing customer relationships and promote our services to drive revenue growth.
Requirements
  • Chartered Engineer Status: Chartered Engineer status (CEng) would be advantageous.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent (Masters degree preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in structural engineering.
  • Skills: Proven track record of cost estimation and project management, and prior experience working with historic buildings is highly desirable.
