Program Manager Job Description

At Amazon, we're committed to reducing our environmental footprint and promoting sustainability across our operations. As part of our Climate Pledge, we're implementing circular economy initiatives to minimize waste and maximize resource efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and Execute Circular Economy Strategy: Own the development and execution of a comprehensive circular economy program, focusing on inventory disposition and waste reduction for Amazon's Fulfillment Centers.
  2. Bridge Strategy with Execution: Design new processes, SOPs, and training materials to bridge the gap between strategy and execution.
  3. Inventory Disposition and Waste Management: Identify, analyze, design, cost, and project scope inventory disposition projects to minimize waste and maximize resource efficiency.
  4. Technology and Process Evaluation: Evaluate new technologies and processes to improve inventory disposition and reduce waste.
  5. Program Metrics and Goal Achievement: Define programs and metrics to ensure EU goals are achieved and secure buy-in from Amazon leadership for piloting and large-scale deployment across Amazon's EU network.
  6. Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate and present to key leaders through MBR/QBRs, prepare written analysis of findings and recommendations, and analyze and communicate the financial impact of projects and initiatives.

Basic Qualifications: Experience in program or project management, experience with Excel.

Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology, experience in MS Access and SQL, experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement documents.
