Experience Activity Coordinator for Luxury Care Homes

Avery Healthcare Group Ltd. is seeking an experienced Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator to join our team in Rugby.
The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
About the RoleAs a Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of engaging activities to promote the physical, psychological, and social well-being of our residents.
Your focus will be on understanding the needs of older people, especially those with dementia, and planning monthly activity and wellbeing programs.
You will work closely with the Home Manager to ensure that all activities are tailored to meet the individual needs of our residents.
This role requires a compassionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual who can understand the importance of promoting the philosophy of privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights, and fulfilment for all residents.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying the life history, needs, and preferences of residents by listening to them and their families to support the development of a detailed life story.
- Planning and submitting a monthly activity and wellbeing plan to the Home Manager.
- Arranging activities, events, and outings, encouraging the involvement of staff, relatives, and visitors.
- Maintaining a safe living and working environment, contributing to the positive and professional image of the home.

RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you must have previously worked with older people in a residential nursing Dementia setting.
You will need effective communication skills, both verbal and written, and a positive attitude toward older people with a commitment to providing stimulating, quality activities and social events.
A DBS Disclosure check and proof of eligibility to work in the UK are also required.
